Ordering & delivery
Our plants are available to order via the website ordering process. You should therefore add the products you wish to purchase to your shopping basket, and then proceed to the checkout. You should review and confirm your order and your consent to the terms of sale; you will then be transferred to the PayPal website, who will handle your payment; we will then send you an initial acknowledgement. Once we have checked whether we are able to meet your order, we will either email you confirmation of your order or we will confirm by email that we are unable to meet your order and if applicable suggest some alternatives.
If you have any special requests, wish to the query availability of a product or if you seek delivery outside the mainland, please contact us via email or telephone for further information. We can then provide further details including delivery charges and timescales.
We aim to deliver all orders within 2 – 3 working days (standard delivery).
If you place your order before 3pm on Monday to Friday inclusive, the period runs from the close of business on that day. If you place your order after 3pm on a working day, or at any time other than Monday to Friday, the period runs from the close of business on the following working day.
These periods are indicative only, and whilst we will make every effort to ensure that you receive your delivery in good time, we do not guarantee delivery before the end of the specified period.
“Working day(s)” means all days other than Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.
Next day or Express Delivery
If you would like next day delivery you should either contact us beforehand or at least submit your order by 2pm Monday to Thursday so that you can receive your order the next day.
Please contact us if you would like a quote for Saturday delivery. There is likely to a additional charge of at least £15.00.
We are able to track deliveries on your behalf and shall endeavour to keep you informed. Again if you have any specific query at the time please contact us.
We currently charge a flat fee of £11.99 per order for standard delivery and £16.99 for Express delivery (next day) to mainland addresses regardless of the amount of plants (up to the value of £200).
Delivery outside the mainland are at our discretion are subject to prior agreement between us and you. Please contact us for a quote.
Receiving your order
All deliveries should be received in person at the delivery address, and a signature must be provided unless you instruct us otherwise. You have the option to give alternative instructions, e.g. "leave in porch" or "leave with neighbour", at your own risk. These instructions must be given during the checkout process – please note they should not be emailed or phoned to us afterwards.
We choose and inspect our plants very carefully before sending out to ensure that they are in the best possible condition. Our plants are packaged for delivery at the final moment before courier pick-up to allow the plant every opportunity to cope in transit and adjust as quickly as possible once planted out. Please open your box as soon as possible upon delivery and check that your order is correct. You will find an invoice/receipt inside as well as our plant care leaflet.
If you experience any problems with a delivery or if you are dissatisfied with the products please contact us within 7 days of receipt by email to email@example.com, by telephone on 07870 495186 or through our website at pernewoodplants.co.uk and we shall endeavour to resolve matters to your absolute satisfaction. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Under the Distance Selling Regulations, you may cancel a distance contract to purchase a product or products from us at any time within the period commencing when the contract comes into force and ending 7 working days after the day you received the relevant products or products (subject to the limitations set out below).
In order to cancel a contract in this way, you must give to us written notice of cancellation.
If you cancel a contract on this basis, you must promptly return the products to us, in the same condition in which you received them, with the original packaging.
If you cancel a contract on this basis, you will be refunded in full (including the cost of sending the products to you). However, you will be responsible for paying the cost of returning the product to us.
If you cancel a contract on this basis and you do not return the products to us, we may recover the products and charge you for the costs we incur in doing so. Similarly, if you return the products at our expense, we may pass that expense on to you.
If you cancel a contract and are entitled to a refund, we will usually refund any money received from you using the same method originally used by you to pay for your purchase. We will process the refund due to you as soon as possible and, in any event, within 30 days of the day we received your valid notice of cancellation. Please be aware that you will be responsible for taking reasonable care of the plant whilst it is in your possession. We cannot issue refunds for plants that have deteriorated beyond recovery, perished or died of dehydration during your possession.
